Perfect spot for a family dinner or a date night! Cocktail special is always a good choice and the bartenders can also make amazing drinks that aren’t listed on the menu.
Our go to order is the gnocchi with tomato sauce, diavola, and either the arugula salad or tiramisu (whether we’re feeling healthy or luxurious haha). We’ve tried a lot of the other goodies on the menu including the delicious garlicky olives and perfectly cooked calzones.
They definitely get busy a little after 6 most nights but it’s worth the wait! You want to get there early enough for the gnocchi anyway
Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends! It’s dark and has an intimate atmosphere inside, highly recommend sitting on the bar side where you can watch them make the pizzas. Pizzas were so fresh they were gooey and fell apart quickly, but so tasty. The burrata is a must, definitely get flatbread with it. Also loved the dessert calzone. Highly recommend coming early (around 5-6pm) as tables fill up quickly!
The sausage is supposed to be mild Italian but it’s really low end chorizo - absolutely awful
TLDR: Save your time and money and go to Lupo/Delancey.
Maybe we caught them on a bad day, I don’t know. There was a wait near the entrance to write our name down on a register. We stood there in the line with no one coming up near the register to call out names when we could see vacant tables. This went on for 20-25 minutes. At this point we weren’t sure whether that register even meant anything. Then someone came up and asked us to write the name on the register. Then it was another 10-15minutes wait to get the table. Then we waited again for 15 mins before the bartender came to our table to help order. We got a caesar salad and a cipollino pizza. Finally, we got the salad. It was the most underwhelming salad I have ever eaten. It screamed zero effort. No dressing, no seasoning at all. Then we waited another 15 mins for the pizza which had patches with no cheese on it. The pizza wasn’t even cut. We were given scissors to cut it ourselves lol. There was little to no meat on the pizza and we felt like eating dough. All this while, the bartender was the one tending to our table. We were left highly disappointed and obviously never coming back again.
A little cramped for space, but don't let that stop you and 3 other friends from enjoying this awesome pizzeria!! Fantastic combination pizzas but they WILL go quick, so expect to get a couple of larges. Affogatos coffees are excellent!
Discovered this place and we’re glad we did. We ordered a Caesar salad which was served whole leave and anchovies. Delicious!!! We ordered the Americano which had just the right ratio of salmi, sausage and mozzarella. The pizza is a perfect size for sharing. With a couple beers our bill was 75.00. Service was excellent. Food came out quick. We found parking off the street very easily. Will be back.
Delicious pizza. Dough is perfectly baked with a chewy texture just like I had in Milan.
Phenomenal neighborhood pizzeria. The food is amazing but don't miss the cocktails - Andrew is a master. Weather permitting, eat on the rear deck for pizzas al fresco. Kid-friendly, too.
